Widows Home Varanasi

 

Wallaby Children’s English-Medium School is situated on third floor of the House of Hope Widows' Home.

This growing school currently has five grades and serves about 30 students.

The children of widows may attend here, as well as staff children and poor local children.

Hope Arts and other income-generating (IG) projects help widows learn how to create cards, necklaces and other gift items.

This training is done in a safe and clean on-site working environment.

Training is provided in the Asha Bhavan (House of Hope) Building where the elderly and needy widows have also found a school for their children.

The widows, who often come without much previous education, can also profit from the literacy training program. Widows meet for training in the Dutch Bakery.
