Street Widows

Poor widows from rural areas, discarded by families, sometimes find their way to Varanasi as a last resort. Many of them beg on the streets. The House of Hope will give these women good food, housing and care.

Besides housing and shelter, House of Hope offers younger widows small jobs to establish daily routine and provide extra income. For their children we have in-house education—Wallaby School.
